Shunga-ten
SHUNGA  TEN

Last Updated: November 6, 2023

The Shunga-ten Shohin Bonsai Fair is held every year, usually during the last weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) of March in Hanamizuki Hall in the Tsurumiryokuchi Expo '90 Commemorative Park in northeast Osaka.  The show is hosted by the All Japan Shohin Bonsai Association.  Admission is free.  There is also a sales area.
Shunga-ten is one of the top three Shohin bonsai shows in Japan.  In a given year you can often see the same, and the best, displays at Kyoto's early January Gafu-ten (shohin only), Tokyo's February Kokufu-ten (all sizes bonsai), Osaka's late March Shunga-ten (shohin-only), and Tokyo's early November Shuga-ten (shohin only), and compare the displays with their appearance in different seasons.
