TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2016
This month we will be helping a lot of newcomers to the hobby in understanding the Basics of Bonsai. This will consist of a slide presentation and a discussion of things that you are not sure of and have questions on. So now is the time to "figure it out" so that in a couple months when it is time to start working on those trees, you will have a better grasp on the basics.
The second half of the meeting we will have a show-and-tell of Marc Nesjans Chinese Elm. This tree was worked on early in 2015 by Peter Tea. For those that were there, you will remember that we knick-named Peter tea's method as "Pulling a Peter", which was essentially, stripping the tree bare and cutting the branches back to knubs. So now you get to see Marc's tree a year later. It is really nice!!
